our initial gatherings and offerings consider the process of fermentation to reflect on how to begin and how to stay alive. As a slow practice of generating a new living organism or a starter, we will take this time to think about what a slow institution would look like, how to begin well, and what is needed to continue.
These events provide the context for a conversation about slow beginnings and degrowth in the local context, as well as learning different ancient survival strategies. For now, this includes making yoghurt, a collective reading of Mercedes Villalba’s Manifesto Ferviente, and offering up some new artist editions. our first edition is Solidarity sun by rosalie schweiker, here.
The summer brings the first harvest, alongside new ideas and collaborations and we’ll share these with you as they come.
